Quick Clearance Toolkit - The I-95 Corridor Coalition has developed a Quick Clearance Toolkit to help in initiating or improving Quick Clearance programs and activities in jurisdictions. The contents of this easy-to-use, "A-Z" quick clearance implementation guide are provided on this page and include:

  • Quick Clearance Toolkit - A roadmap for developing a Traffic Incident Management Program, providing policy makers and practictioners in traffic incident management with handy and ready-to-use tools to assist them in providing more effective TIM practices in general, but with primary emphasis on quick clearance. The toolkit is designed for use by multiple disciplines, including DOT, TMC, Police, Fire, EMS, Investigator, HAZMAT, Road Maintenance, Towing, Service Patrol, Medical Examiner, and the Media. » View

  • Quick Clearance Workshops - I-95 Corridor Coalition is offering a series of workshops to present Quick Clearance Implementation Best Practices. There are two Quick Clearance Workshops available - an Executive Forum and a Responder Workshop. The Executive Forum is intended for senior agency officials and legislative staff who are in positions to influence the creation of TIM/QC laws, policies, regulations, and programs. And the Responder Workshop is intended for upper and middle managers who are directly responsible for implementing laws, policies, and the like, and who supervise responders directly or indirectly. » View


  • Toolkit for Quick ClearanceQuick Clearance Toolkits are Available for Purchase - A high-quality, user-friendly hard copy, this toolkit includes a three-ring binder, containing the complete text of the document, including four parts (see the on-line version below for more details):

    1. Introduction and Purpose - self explanatory.

    2. Traffic Incident Management for Quick Clearance - a 99-page comprehensive description of TIM/QC laws, policies , guides and best practices in a concise format .

    3. Agency Responsibility in Traffic Incident Management - a series of individually tabbed checklists for 13 different responder/stakeholder groups, covering all phases of a traffic incident.

    4. Back Matter - reference materials and 10 QC Fact Sheets for public and agency outreach.

Additionally, a DVD of the Toolkit document, videos, Toolkit sample documents, and original QC document files is provided. This is all the information described below on a convenient DVD.
