A new U.S. Department of Transportation initiative could help reduce delays in the Maine-to-Florida I-95 corridor region, which includes some of the nation’s most congested transportation routes. Under its Corridors of the Future program, the USDOT will provide additional federal resources to support the strategies to reduce transportation congestion and improve mobility outlined by the I-95 Corridor Coalition.
The Coalition's application for the Corridors of the Future Program identifies four major projects, some of which are already underway by the Coalition on a limited basis, for acceleration and/or long-term investment.
